Flat Iron Steak is a quick and delicious meal that impresses every time. It comes from the shoulder of the cow and is great with marinades which help break down the meat and keep it juicy. As a primal cut, it is prepared by our skilled butchers by seaming down the centre gristle which creates two perfectly tender and succulent steaks.

The steak’s uniform size means it cooks perfectly on a medium/high grill and is usually best eaten medium or under. The cut can also be used in any recipes that call for cut or flank and is a good partner for stronger marinades. It has a deep rich beef flavour as it comes from the forequarter of the animal.

This juicy Flat Iron Steak comes from high welfare British farms who share our passion and commitment for delivering the best animal welfare standards and quality grass-fed beef. It’s then expertly prepared by skilled butchers and matured for tenderness, nutrition and flavour. The cattle are raised in a sustainable and responsible way for the very best product.

Our quality assured Flat Iron Steak is full of essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs to function at its best including Iron, Zinc and Selenium. These grass-fed cattle fatten slowly and are presented to you as nature intended – lean and juicy with no added water or salt – so the meat cooks well and tastes great. All our beef is aged for at least 21 days which allows the meat fibres to break down making the meat extremely tender and full of flavour.

To ensure the very best quality, our Flat Iron Steak is hand trimmed and prepared by our skilled butchers before being sent to you the same day, so your meat will stay fresh for as long as possible. It arrives fully prepared and ready for you to cook up into your favourite meal.

Both GoNutrition® and the local farms with which we work take traceability very seriously. Every single hand-cut piece of meat can be traced right back to the farm where it was produced. We can even tell you which animal it came from.

Our meat is also great quality. All of the lamb, beef and pork we sell comes from British high welfare farms. Our farmers produce great quality meat from traditional British livestock ​and rare ​breeds, which keeps them part of the British countryside, and means they're raised in the best conditions. Our expert butchers produce meat to order and lovingly prepare it so you get the perfect cut.

How do you ensure my meat arrives fresh?

We use premium insulated packaging to ensure our meats arrive cool, fresh and safe for up to 48 hours in transit, even on a summer's day. All of our meats are sent via a 24 hour courier to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, even if slightly delayed. As we want to ensure our meat arrives safely, there are some remote regions to which we cannot deliver to at this time.

All products are expertly butchered each morning fresh and will keep for a minimum of five days in the fridge or up to six months in the freezer. We never ship frozen meat, only fresh, so quality is assured.

How long does it take to deliver?

All chilled deliveries are sent via a 24-hour courier, and will take around 4-7​ working days to arrive, depending on your nominated day and when the order is placed. This is due to ​your order being ​butchered and despatched fresh to order.

Delivery & Returns

We use insulated packaging to ensure our meats arrive cool, fresh and safe for up to 48 hours. All meats are sent via 24 hour courier to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, even in cases of slight delays. As we want to ensure our meat arrives safely, there are some remote regions to which we cannot deliver.

You are free to choose your preferred delivery day when you order. Please ensure you are present to accept delivery on your chosen delivery day, and note that orders can be delivered between 8am and 9pm. We cannot refund orders that have not been signed for and they may not be safe for consumption if redelivered after your nominated day.

Chilled delivery costs £3.99, including our nominated day option, providing you hit the minimum spend of £25. If you wish to purchase a smaller quantity you can opt to pay a £5 packaging surcharge to avoid the minimum spend requirement. Delivery is free if you spend over £100 on your entire order.

Due to safety and hygiene reasons, meats are not covered by our usual 30 day guarantee. Orders containing fresh products are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations and cannot typically be cancelled, however, we do allow meat orders to be cancelled providing you call us before 4pm on the same day as placing your order, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Suggested Use
Best served with some sweet potatoes and green vegetables. If you have the time, flat iron steaks are awesome for marinading.
