Turkey is well known for being extremely lean, low fat and high protein and is a popular choice for body builders, athletes and dieters alike. The Turkey Breast in particular has a very high proportion of protein and a low percentage of fat when compared to other parts of the bird.
This whole Norfolk Black Turkey gives you the satisfaction of a juicy, mouth-watering roast all ready for you to carve into at your festive feast. When cooked for the correct amount of time in a roasting dish you'll have a delicious meaty flavour, a ton of protein and mineral rich nutrients. The fat that comes from the bird is also perfect for mixing into home made gravy for some added flavour. Turkey is a great meat for soaking up or taking on additional flavours, so we prefer our turkey roasted with traditional stuffing and covered in free range streaky bacon. Any leftovers are delicious served cold in Boxing Day salads or sandwiches.

What's good about your Free Range, Norfolk Black Turkey?
This whole turkey is hand plucked and left to mature for three weeks, ensuring it is ready for the oven. It will be sent to you as nature intended with no added water or salt. It comes vacuum packed or in an easy store tray and will last for 5 days in the fridge or 6 months in the freezer.
We recommend stuffing your turkey and rubbing in herbs, spices, butter or coconut oil before coating it with streaky bacon. Pre heat your oven to 220°C (Fan) / 425°F / Gas Mark 7, wrap the turkey in foil and place in the oven at this heat for 30 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 160° C / 325° F/ Gas Mark 4 and cook until the juices run clear when the bird is pierced. Cook uncovered for the last 30 - 45 minutes and baste with fat or juices from the bird at regular intervals. We recommend consulting a cooking guide to get the most accurate roasting time for your bird. Turkey is used in many energy rich and diet friendly recipes so any leftover meat can be used in a variety of other meals or snacks.
All of our high-welfare meat is fully traceable back to British farms, expertly prepared and sent fresh the same day. Our birds are dry-plucked by hand and hung for 3 weeks for a fuller, richer flavour and a more tender meat.

Our meat is also great quality. All of the lamb, beef and pork we sell comes from British high welfare farms. Our farmers produce great quality meat from traditional British livestock and rare breeds, which keeps them part of the British countryside, and means they're raised in the best conditions. Our expert butchers produce meat to order and lovingly prepare it so you get the perfect cut.
How do you ensure my meat arrives fresh?
We use premium insulated packaging to ensure our meats arrive cool, fresh and safe for up to 48 hours in transit, even on a summer's day. All of our meats are sent via a 24 hour courier to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, even if slightly delayed. As we want to ensure our meat arrives safely, there are some remote regions to which we cannot deliver to at this time.
All products are expertly butchered each morning fresh and will keep for a minimum of five days in the fridge or up to six months in the freezer. We never ship frozen meat, only fresh, so quality is assured.
How long does it take to deliver?
All chilled deliveries are sent via a 24-hour courier, and will take around 4-7 working days to arrive, depending on your nominated day and when the order is placed. This is due to your order being butchered and despatched fresh to order.
