How does Beta Alanine work?
In the body beta alanine combines with l-histidine to form carnosine. Carnosine is responsible for buffering acid in the muscles, and in particularly lactic acid which is produced as a byproduct of intense exercise. Daily supplementation with Beta Alanine has been shown to enable the body to perform at a higher intensity for longer and tolerate higher concentrations of lactic acid, thereby enhancing performance (Trexler 2015). How can Citrulline Malate boost performance?
