The coconuts used in Organic Virgin Coconut Oil are 100% organic and have been harvested from organically grown palm trees in Sri Lanka. The coconuts are cold pressed to extract the oil ensuring no damage to the finished saturated oil, meaning it is free from trans-fatty acids and cholesterol. Organic Virgin Coconut Oil holds Soil Association and EU certification for its organic status. It is free from GMOs and has not been hydrogenated, bleached, refined or deodorised.
How might coconut oil benefit athletic performance?
Coconut oil is made up predominantly of MCTs. Rather than being broken down like other fats MCTs are absorbed intact and metabolised in the cells of the body.
