What is Organic Virgin Coconut Butter?
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Butter is a premium quality coconut butter produced from 100% organic coconuts. Coconut butter is very nutritious, providing high levels of protein, dietary fibre, oil, and vitamins and minerals. It’s also free from cholesterol and trans fats. Our Organic Virgin Coconut Butter provides 500ml (460g) per tub.
How should I use coconut butter?
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Butter can be used as a replacement spread, and is perfect for use in smoothies, dressings, desserts, and baked goods. However, coconut butter is heat sensitive and so is not suitable for frying. Raw Coconut Butter is soft at above 27 degrees (C) and solid at lower temperatures. The oil in the coconut butter may separate to the top. In order to liquefy and blend, place the jar in warm water for 5-10 minutes, and once soft enough, stir for a creamy, smooth texture.
What are the benefits of Organic Virgin Coconut Butter?
Organic Virgin Coconut butter is extremely healthy because it is a whole food, made entirely from pureed coconut flesh. This means that all the nutrition of the whole coconut is transferred into the coconut butter, for example, vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium and iron. Coconut butter also contains approximately 3 grams of fibre per tablespoon. Consequently, coconut butter has many health benefits, such as supporting thyroid and metabolism functions, and strengthening the liver.

The coconuts used in this Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Butter are 100% organic and have been harvested from organically grown palm trees in Sri Lanka. The flesh of the coconut is pureed to make a smooth, creamy butter.
