#3 When you should take whey isolate
The most common question I get asked is when should I take my protein. There are several critical windows throughout your day that you should take your shake to ensure maximum results. Window 1- first thing in the morning as your body has just gone through 6-8 hours of a fasted state this means your muscles will be attacked for their amino acids therefore losing all you well earned results. So you need to get some amino’s into your system straight away.Isolate is ideal as this will quickly be broken down in the gut and absorbed into the blood stream. Window 2 – Pre workout by increasing the amino acids in your system this will allow more energy throughout your workout so consuming 20-25g of protein 30mins before your workout will help you push through and lastly post workout to ensure the repair of those micro tears after a hard session.#4 How much whey isolate to consume
This depends on what your goals are etc but as rule of thumb 1 gram of protein per 1lb of bodyweight so for example if you were 200lbs your daily consumption of protein will be 200grams spread over your meals with a big portion after your session.
