Protein Easter Treats
Easter is just around the corner and who doesn’t love those tasty mini eggs in crunchy crispy chocolate nests? They’re an essential Easter treat. So we teamed up with the guys over at Tasty Macros to come up with protein packed versions of our childhood favourites.
Ingredients:
Double Chocolate Protein Mini Eggs
- 2tbs Cocoa Powder
- 40g GN Whey Protein 80
- 100g Smooth Peanut Butter
- 7g Low Calorie Sweetener
- 35ml Almond Milk
Ingredients: Protein Chocolate Crispy Nests
- 110g Go Nutrition Whey Protein Crispies
- 100g Go Nutrition Dark Chocolate Callets
Decoration:
- Gold Shimmer Spray

Method
- Add all the dry ingredients for the mini eggs into a bowl and mix.
- Add the peanut butter and mix until the mixture is crumbly.
- Add the milk and mix & set aside.
- Place some baking paper on a plate and slightly dampen your hands (this will stop the mix from sticking to your hands.
- Take some mix in your hand and roll into a ball, then slightly elongate the top of the ball to make an egg shape & place on the baking paper.
- Repeat until you have used up all the mix. You should get 16 mini eggs.
- Chill in the fridge
- For the nests melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Add the crispies & mix.
- Divide the mix into a deep silicon muffin pan. Pushing down in the middle to create the nest shape. You should get 7 nests.
- Chill in the fridge
- Take out the mini eggs out of the fridge and spray with the gold shimmer spray & return to the fridge.
- Once both nests and eggs are set simply place two mini eggs in each nest & serve.
