RECIPE: Chocolate Orange Cheesecake Squares

It feels a little bit decadent and, let’s face it, it tastes incredible. If you’re a fellow lover of chocolate oranges, but don’t want to break the diet too much, then this is the recipe for you. These Chocolate Orange Cheesecake Squares are absolutely heavenly and taste every bit as good as they look. Eat one of these and I guarantee that you won’t miss the real thing!

Chocolate Orange Cheesecake Squares Ingredients:

For the base: 150g sugar-free biscuits 3 tbsp Coconut Oil, melted Juice one orange 1 scoop Whey Protein 80 (Vanilla) For the filling: 100g 95% dark chocolate 250g extra light cream cheese 250g Quark 8 tbsp Liquid egg whites 3 tbsp coconut sugar or stevia (to taste) 2 scoop Whey Protein 80 (Chocolate Orange) Juice and zest one orange 1 pinch salt

Chocolate Orange Cheesecake Squares Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 200C, then line a loaf tin. Blitz together the biscuits until they form a fine crumb, then pour in the remaining ingredients and blend until it clumps together. Press down into the lined loaf tin, then place in the fridge to firm.
  2. Make your filling by gently melting the dark chocolate, then setting aside to cool slightly. In the meantime, blend the remaining ingredients until smooth, then pour in the cooled melted chocolate and blend once more.
  3. Pour your filling over the cheesecake base, then set a kettle to boil. Wrap the tin in cling film, then double wrap it in foil. Place the loaf tin in the centre of a baking tray and carefully pour the boiled water in so that it comes halfway up the tin. Put the tin in the oven and bake for around 30 minutes, or until cooked but slightly wobbly.
  4. Leave the cheesecake to cool before placing in the fridge until ready to serve. Cut into squares and decorate with orange garnish and drizzled chocolate, then enjoy!
